Tomorrow begins Pride week here in Toronto. I am apprehensive as to how things will be this year given the abundance of controversy. To keep it fun Travoy commissioned this image for his website Travoy in the flesh seen previously on this blog... We wanted a 60-70's black power feel, perhaps a campy take on the condition of pride and the world this year. Needless to say the shoot was alot of fun as always! Enjoy!

G20 Toronto - Protest and Aftermath

Today started with the 20 biggest world leaders coming to Toronto from northern Ontario's G8 conference for the larger G20. From my window the air was filled with helicopters and small aircraft managing the airspace I live under....

For the first few hours I was happy to tune in to the CBC for much of the begining untill i saw smoke billowing from the core of down town.

Remembering Micheal Jackson Year 1

It is this photo featured in this months French PHOTO Magazine I believe best captures the life and times of Micheal Jackson. Over the past year we have all witnessed the unraveling of what happened and I am struck by the idea that all to often fame kills and in some way we are all complicit.

Glenroy & Anthony

It's always been quite simple for me, when ever anyone asks I just say "Thank You but I don't do wedding photography" It never been about ability... cause I know I could do it... My resistance has always been based in the blind terror of ruining someones special day by messing up their photos. So it was kind of wierd when Glenroy asked I didn't get that un-easy hesitation, in truth I felt honored that he asked! I really had a great time! On the train home that afternoon I updated my facebook: "Was just part of something wonderfully sweet and quite romantic... I plan on smiling the rest of the day!" And I did!:-)

Special Thanks to Glenroy and Anthony for letting me post a few pics.... If you readers are getting any ideas that I now do weddings... I may still say no... but who knows I might get the guts to do it again!
