Too Hard For Your Mama, To Hip For Your Daddy
Flash back to the late 80's early 90's Downtown Detroit is happening and not happening all at the same time. The underground music scene is thumping with concerts at St,Andrews Hall and the Music Institute dropping the latest house and techno from the likes of Derrick May and Kevin(Goodlife)Saunderson. The place to buy your threads was a small but hot joint called Spectacles run by the infamous Zana! The hot rags of the day were by Detroit designer Maurice Malone who had gained some notoriety with the featured T in this post and ultra baggy jeans called "Fat Boys" These pictures were taken in 1993 on the grounds of Cranbrook with my friend Montrice! I found the shirt and pants packed away in the cant throw away pile in the closet this weekend.... They took me back to some fond memories of a memorable time in the 313...
